Tea at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

As you may have gathered from my recent posts, I finally completed university! For my ‘celebration’ I chose to go for high tea at Lake Louise. I had been for tea at the Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia so I knew I would enjoy it (see my post about Victoria here). The reason I chose this was because I thought it would be unique and of course we all know how much I love the mountains!

My overall rating of the experience:

  • Atmosphere: 5/5
  • Service: 5/5
  • Food: 5/5
  • Affordability: 4/5
  • Overall Rating: 4.75/5

The atmosphere was great! My mom requested a table beside a window to enjoy the view. The tables were large and were not crowded together, so even though we were in a room full of people it did not feel like it.

TheĀ serviceĀ was phenomenal. They were accommodating and willing to answer any questions we had. They ensured our teapots were filled and made sure we were enjoying the food, but at the same time they were not annoying us by constantly coming to our table.

TheĀ foodĀ was great. Everyone got to try one of each of the following:

  • Fresh Seasonal Berries withĀ Alpine whipped cream
  • Finger Sandwiches:
    • Mini Lobster Croissant
    • Smoked Salmon Roulade caviar
    • Piquillo Hens Egg brioche
    • Lemon Thyme & Cucumber cream cheese
    • Coronation Chicken pain au lait
  • Buttermilk Scone
    • With Devonshire style cream, house preserve, lemon curd
  • Chefs inspirational dessert buffet

My favourites were the berries, the cucumber finger sandwich, the scones, and of course the dessert buffet. The dessert buffet was great because you could go up whenever you wanted and as much as you wanted.

The teas were excellent too! We each chose a different one so we could try each others. The ones we had were:

  • Imperial Breakfast
  • Creamy Early Grey
  • Oregon Mint
  • Egyptian Camomille
  • Long Island Strawberry

Affordability,Ā was okay. We left feeling full and happy with the time we spent enjoying each other’s company, but it was not cheap. This is why I chose this as my graduation celebration. A full listing of the current menu and prices can be found here.

Overall,Ā I had a great time. The service was splendid, the food was great, the company was great, and the view was pretty good considering it was a snowy day. I would definitely go again!

PS all photos were from my phone, so not the greatest quality.

Thanks for reading my post!
