As promised on my previous blog post, I will be posting about my previous trip to Arizona. My mom and I did a road trip from Calgary to Tucson, Arizona in July 2012.
This first post will be about our visit to the Grand Canyon. My mom and I will be visiting again this year, so my pictures will hopefully be better and my descriptions will be much more detailed.
We went to the Grand Canyon on our way home from Tucson (we also stopped at Montezuma’s Castle and Montezuma’s Well, which I will post about later). It was very hot and crowded because we went a bit later in the day, but it was so worth it to see the views. This year we are hoping to go much earlier and we have a general idea of what we want to see and do. 
To go to the Grand Canyon you do have to pay for a vehicle permit, which for us this time will be $35.00 (for more info visit here).
I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Arizona to go the Grand Canyon. It is a great experience and the views are breathtaking, I’ve never seen anything like it!
